Refund policy

Return Window - Customers can request a return within 3 days from the date of delivery.

At Bookala.in, we aim to provide high-quality books and a smooth shopping experience. Our return and refund policy is valid for 3 calendar days and applies under the conditions below.


1. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds

A return or refund may be requested within 3 days if:

  • The wrong item was delivered

  • The book received is torn, damaged, or defective

  • The shipment was lost or never delivered

  • The order was cancelled before dispatch or rejected at delivery

❌ Requests made after 3 days of delivery will not be accepted.


2. Non-Returnable Items

Returns or refunds will not be accepted for:

  • Change of mind or personal preference

  • Books showing use, damage, or tampering not caused during delivery

  • Digital products or gift cards


3. Return Shipping Cost (Required by Google Merchant Center)

  • If the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or not delivered
    Bookala.in will pay the return shipping cost.

  • If the return request is for any non-eligible reason
    Customer will pay the return shipping cost.


4. How to Request a Return

Email us at support@bookala.in within 3 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your Order ID

  • A short description of the issue

  • Photos or a valid unboxing video showing the damage/defect


5. Return Process

  • Items must be returned in unused condition, with the original packaging and invoice

  • Once the return is approved, a reverse pickup will be arranged within 3–5 business days

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days after the returned item passes inspection


6. Important Notes

  • Claims without unboxing video proof will not be accepted

  • Bookala.in reserves the right to approve or reject return requests after verification

  • For any disputes, the jurisdiction will be New Delhi, India
